Suiker Unie has traditionally enjoyed a reputation for social involvement and is known as a good employer. Personal development, health and safety are important elements in our staff policy. We prefer to express our social commitment in national and international issues relating to our core business: sugar production. We also contribute to the local sponsoring of a variety of sporting events.
We support sugar cane farmers by helping them gain access to the European market together with Bonsucro and Solidaridad. The aim is to set up a sustainable production chain for cane sugar.
